REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering and/or business-related field.
Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in piece cost, tooling and equipment/CAPEX estimating of stampings, tubes and complex weld assemblies/press environment.
Must be able to read blue prints and be self-sufficient in using CAD models for estimating purposes, and understand material selections and designs for exhaust systems.
Must be proficient in SAP including the following modules: Materials Masters, Production Planning, Sales and Distribution and Warehouse Management.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel Advanced level.
JOB PROFILE:
Create and review cost estimates and after treatment systems including all internal and external components (50%)
Review and audit manufacturing routings and BOM’s to ensure accuracy of cycle times and material usage for inventory valuation and product costing within SAP/COPA (20%)
Provide program managers and senior management with comparison of target and actual business results for current and new programs
Negotiate piece cost, capital expenditures, tooling and ED&T (R&D) cost with customers.
Validate and maintain cost models and base data
Attend and participate in internal and external VAVE cost reduction workshops
Price maintenance, tracking & accruals / provisions.
