Qualification and experience required:
• Grade 12 and min 10-15 years’ experience in the Quality Assurance department, of which 5 years must be experience in Supplier Quality in the Automotive Industry. Knowledge of components in exhaust technology is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership / managerial capacity
• Tertiary education – Diploma in Engineering / Operations
• Added advantage would be the knowledge of press tooling and welding.
• Expert knowledge of core tools (APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP)
• Expert Problem-Solving skills (8D)
• Geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T)
• Advanced MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel,
• PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task effectively and meet deadlines
• Advanced communication and presentation skills
• Advanced problem-solving skills
• Ability to deal with difficult suppliers using factual information and a logical approach.

Key responsibilities:
Monitor and control the effectiveness of Supplier/Quality Assurance in order for the Company to maintain suppliers who ensure component quality and integrity in order to satisfy the Company and Customer Requirements. This includes:

• Participates in the achievement of the quality objectives within his/her team. Monitors progress and implements corrective action in case of deviation.
• Technical support to quality team and the plant in resolving technical issues on components and FG parts.
• Assess the relevant risks and trigger alerts to the appropriate management level if necessary
• Assures consistency of the company quality indicators (supplier ppm, supplier complaints, etc.) reported by SQA team
• Monitor and control the manning and actual activities of the receiving inspection function. Manage Master Sample Store activities.
• Manage the approval of PPAP for all purchased parts (including change management).
• Coordinate the supplier annual reviews and support Program quality with supplier documentation for new / changed PPAP packages.
• Responsible for the complaint management for suppliers and ensures that complaints are managed in due time and that containment activities effective and 8D reports are robust by auditing actions taken at suppliers.
• Supplier scrap: Attend daily scrap meeting and address any supply issues. Manage Quarantine store activities.
• Supplier monitoring and various reporting – Daily / Weekly / Monthly.
